About Amir Kutkut
I started my career in finances as a Sponsored Tutor teaching investment banking and money management to various high schools, colleges, and vocational schools. From there I pursued multiple nonprofit endeavors within my hometown of Cleveland Ohio in order to help strengthen Cleveland’s inner city schools’ financial allocation practices. As rewarding as this was, my path took me into the insurance industry where I started and ran my own Insurance Brokerage. I remained there for many years until I decided that I’d had enough; I couldn’t abide by the aggressive nature of the industry. It felt as though I were at a constant moral conflict given the practices we had to implement to remain successful in the field. I eventually gave my brokerage away, and in full frankness, I never thought I would re-enter into the financial industry after this. However, once I began testing the waters at Mutual of Omaha, I found a place where I could utilize my knowledge of the fiduciary and financial industries, while also serving the higher purpose of helping people better their lives. I love my job and take tremendous pride in both what I am able to do for my clients, along with the standard at which I hold myself.
