About Andrew Klank
Andrew Klank has six years’ experience working in the mortgage industry as a branch manager with a focus on building long-term relationships with his borrowers (customers). He creates an educational, stress-free environment for his customers so they can make the best-informed financial decisions. In 2009, Andrew made the hardest decision of his professional life and left the industry in the aftermath of the financial crisis.
After leaving, Andrew decided to go back to school to study Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain Management at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, at the University of Maryland. While graduating at the top of his class, Andrew was also part of an Honors Banking and Private Wealth Management fellowship at UMD’s Smith School, which granted him the opportunity to contribute his mortgage knowledge among his peers. This information was so well received that he was asked to return after graduating to give presentations to Finance MBA students at the Smith School about the mortgage industry.
After graduating, Andrew built a large career working for DHL Express as a District Manager responsible for two facilities and 200 workers. During this time, Andrew became intrigued in solving complex business problems and decided to go back to school at Villanova University for a Lean Six Sigma Certification. To date, he has completed three levels of certifications, earning him a Six Sigma “Black Belt." With this knowledge, he can solve complex problems through data analytics and process analysis -- a real asset to his customers.
Even with his success at DHL, Andrew still missed his true passion; helping people with their finances. He also realized how much he would be able to utilize his newly-acquired skill-sets to serve his customers even better than before.
Andrew is engaged to be married this coming year and enjoys exploring the Chesapeake Bay with his Fiancé in his spare time.
