About Anthony Alivo
How long have you been in the mortgage business and what inspired you to get into it? I have been in the mortgage industry for ten years. After opening our first mortgage company I quickly realized how rewarding it is to help people achieve their dream of buying a home or helping them better their financial outlook through refinancing. After years in the industry it has become challenging and exciting to grow with the market and find more ways to help more people. Tell us about a challenging borrowing situations and how you would get the mortgage closed and funded. I have helped first time home buyers in difficult situations obtain a home loan. By thinking outside of the box and overcoming roadblocks I have been able to approve many customers that had difficulty obtaining a loan elsewhere. A simple credit update, structuring a loan within specific parameters, or building a case for alternate lending are some techniques that have helped me do this. Employment, income, and credit can always be a challenge if it does not fit the basic lending model. Maximizing different strengths and taking advantage of less common tools such as lender paid mortgage insurance are the best way to find a solution. What part of the home loan process do customers find most difficult and how do you help them through it? Buying a home is a huge step in someone’s life and the process can be very intimidating. I work with my customers to simplify the process and take all the stress out of the lending side of it. I do this by setting the expectations and ensuring that they obtain the best program available to them. With daily updates to the home buyer and the other parties involved I work to make sure the transaction goes as smooth as possible. What provides you with the most satisfaction in your job as a Loan Officer? Knowing that I have helped my clients obtain the best loan and provided the best service to the point where they recommend their family and friends to me as well.
