About Barry Byrd
I have worked in real estate financing and the credit industry for over 15 years. In 1998 I began working as a Financial Specialist selling everything from investments and life insurance to writing mortgages for bank. In late 2000 I accepted a position as commercial and residential lender for Riverside Bank because I really wanted to focus on all aspects of lending and learn as much as I could about financing commercial and residential properties. By the end of 2002, I realized that lending for a local bank did not offer the flexibility that most clients needed at the time, so I decided to specialize in residential loans and open my own mortgage company, B & C Financial Services. I owned and managed B&C Financial Services until 2007. In September of 2007, I accepted a position to run the residential lending program for Polk County with Riverside Bank, and stayed until they were bought by TD Bank in 2010. At that time the mortgage industry was experiencing many problems, and I was offered a position with a Consumer Reporting Agency, ScreeningONE, as the Southeast Sales Manager which is where I stayed until I joined the team at The Mortgage Firm Lakeland in May of 2013. The Mortgage Firm Lakeland is one of the best companies I have had the honor of working with.
