What do realtors and home buyers want from a loan officer? When I started as a loan officer, I spoke to friends and realtors and asked “what would make the mortgage process better?” Here is what they said: • Communicate the status of the loan; • Be available – by phone or email – don’t just work banker hours; • No last minute surprises – denials; and, • Speak simple English – don’t use mortgagee. • Close the loan. I adopted this as my approach to differentiate myself from others. I understand many home buyers have choices for a lender. And many others do not. Regardless, you will get personal, timely service regardless of loan size or how we came into contact. My motto is "I work for you, not the banks." In life, there is no substitute for honesty, integrity, and hard work. I close tough loans. Loans denied by others get a 2nd chance with me. I will work hard for you from the moment we start until when we close on your loan. I know you do not come to a lender just to get a mortgage.
