In the thirty-eight years since I started in the mortgage loan business, many things have changed: we use email and scanners, smart phones and wi-fi. But although snail mail, pink “”while you were out”” message pads and desktop calculators have all but disappeared, some things have remained exactly the same for me. Namely, I see my job as facilitating borrowers achieve their goal of homeownership. Sometimes this means advising them of products they didn’t know existed, surprising them by showing they can afford more home than they imagined or counseling them that maybe this isn’t the right time to buy. Highlands Residential Mortgage offers Conventional, Jumbo, FHA, VA, USDA, Fixed Rate and Adjustable Rate loans. We offer 1st Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance programs through NC Housing Finance Agency, City of Greensboro and High Point City. Whatever makes the most sense for the borrower has always been – and continues to be – my sole priority. It’s with pride that I can say I never lead a borrower into a loan for which they were ill-suited. And there are many handwritten notes I’ve received from clients after their transaction has closed thanking me for my guidance. These mean more to me than the plaques that hang on my wall for top producer or committee membership. I handle transactions from start to finish and have 100% customer satisfaction. Some think I’m a bit fanatical about this, but that’s ok. I take my business and that of my borrowers seriously and personally. One can be assured their file is in my hands and that I consider ”no surprises” to be an ultimate successful outcome. I am proud to be married for 42 years to my husband, Kevin, whom I met at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and have resided in Greensboro, NC since 1986. We are the loving parents of Kate, our 12 year old Australian Shepherd, and Molly Joy, our 8 month old Australian Labradoodle.
