About Guy Silas
Guy Silas joins Embrace from Sandy Spring Bank, where he was Senior Vice President and Regional Sales Manager of the Mortgage Division. This new Branch Manager looks forward to serving our existing team, and to recruiting, training, and growing our influence in the market. Guy is a Certified Public Accountant, as well as a member of the Maryland Bankers Association, and the Maryland Builders and Industry Association. He’s also active in his community, earning a leadership award from the Rebuilding Together organization after serving as President. Guy graduated from The Smith School of Business in 1984, and he received a BS degree in accounting from the University of Maryland. He grew up in Potomac, Maryland, and currently lives in Glenwood, Maryland with his wife of 34 years. He’s the father of three amazing grown children, and the proud new grandfather of his first granddaughter. In his free time, Guy enjoys fishing, golf, and tennis – he’s a member of the Columbia Association – and watching the sunrise at the beach. His idea of the perfect day would be relaxing on his boat with his family.
