About Howard Tollin
Howard Tollin is Environmental & Professional Practice Leader for SterlingRisk, consults with clients, and lawyers for clients, on unique risk management solutions to address manufacturing and distribution, real estate, gas station and other business concerns, which include environmental and professional exposures. He coordinates risk management and insurance for architects, engineers, environmental consultants, construction companies, project owners and developers, which includes contract reviews. Mr. Tollin is an attorney, environmental risk consultant, and licensed property and casualty broker. Over the past 29 years, he has facilitated hundreds of property and corporate transactions in which the sale had died or remained on hold because of environmental concerns. Mr. Tollin is the New York State Bar Association Environmental & Energy Section Vice-Chair and will be Section Chair in 2019. He also served in the NYSBA House of Delegates from 2011-2015, is on the Executive Committee for NYC Brownfield Partnership, and was on the Board of Directors for non-profit New Partners for Community Revitalization from 2009 – 2016. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Environmental Claims Journal, an International Scholarly Journal, authors numerous published articles on environmental and insurance topics, and is a regular panelist at many professional and business conferences.
