About John Best
John grew up in Moline, Illinois and after graduating from Creighton University, he started his career in the banking industry as an automotive lender in Milwaukee Wisconsin. John started a small LLC that purchased rental properties as a side business: After paying a few commissions on rental properties, John decided he would get involved in real estate on a full time basis and joined one of the largest privately held real estate brokers in the Midwest, Shorewest Realtors. John found he enjoyed the investment side of real estate but really derived a passion out of helping others negotiate the home sale process. Six years passed and one of his mortgage buddies asked him if he ever thought of getting back on the lender side, so after much consideration it seemed a natural growth to his career interest’s and he started with a larger bank as a mortgage consultant. His knowledge of both subjects has really given him an advantage for today’s market with investors and home buyers alike. After three years with the banks, John made the decision to move to the smaller more agile, local lender because the needs of his clients demanded change and for the past three years John has increased the number of clients he could help purchase a home. There is a great demand for knowledgeable, skilled, and ethical mortgage originators, and John prides himself on falling into this category of loan officer. The changes in the banking industry have presented challenges for everyone, so he has set up systems to help his clients navigate through the home purchase process. Please feel confident you will receive the “Best” service in the industry.
