About Mary Tootikian
Mary Tootikian entered the world of mortgage banking in 1980 as a mortgage loan underwriter. In this role she worked directly with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other secondary lending sources. Participating in the loan auditing function, she developed a prudent philosophy of true risk-based lending that has served her in the continued roles she has had over her many years in the industry. In 1982, Mary pioneered the first independent loan processing company and in the following ten years grew the business to a multi-state presence. Partnering with industry leaders, she co-originated Loan Processing Centers, Inc. providing outsource processing and underwriting services for major banks, lenders, brokers and credit unions. Mary served on the executive committee of the San Diego based Council of Lenders, participated in the Association for Professional Mortgage Woman and has been on several corporate boards. In 2008, after the dramatic crash of the housing market Mary authored the best-selling book: Stunned In America, Sub-Crime Mortgage Crisis. Her expert mortgage knowledge and experience has been sought nationally and she has been interviewed by Erin Burnett on CNBC, Kathleen Hayes on Bloomberg and Tracy Burns on Fox Business News. She has been a guest on dozens of radio shows as she continues to champion credible lending with responsible guidelines.
