About Randy DeLay
I graduated in 1993 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a BBA in Marketing. I spent a majority of my professional career in the information technology industry at New Horizons Computer Learning Center, where I was in the President’s Club, which is the top 50 out of 3500 account executives. After visiting with several of my friends in the President’s Club that had moved into the Mortgage Business, I decided to do the same, and went to work for Cornerstone Mortgage in early 2005. I enjoy this job more than any I have had, and I think my enjoyment of the mortgage industry shows in my work. With my background in technology, I utilize it to better serve my clients. One example of this is a web based service I use daily that updates the mortgage backed security markets every 2 minutes. With the extreme volatility we have in today’s markets, using this system could mean getting my client a much better rate or protecting them from a rate increase. Another way I use technology is to show them what the total cost of their loan is over time. I have found in many case cases that lowest rate does not equal lowest overall cost, and I use a software package to illustrate this and help borrowers make good sound decisions regarding their loan. My goal is to take the fear out of the home buying process. My strengths include knowing the available programs and how they are changing and having the ability to show buyers which loan program best aligns with their financial goals. I also return my phone calls, and follow-up with my clients after the loan closes. Referrals are a majority of my business, and I believe that if you treat people right, they will tell others about you. Specialties: I specialize in Mortgage Programs such as FHA, Conventional, VA, and USDA Rural Development. I know the guidelines for these programs, and can help your client select the best program for them. Whether you have money to put down or need a program with down payment assistance, I know how to get it done.
