About Steven Littlefield
Experienced in Mortgage & Property Finance matters ...by working in the mortgage and finance industry since 1985. Steven's experience comes from working with Savings and Loans, banks, mortgage brokers and mortgage bankers on the wholesale and retail systems. He co-founded Signature Funding in 1992 where he grew the company from 3 people to over 160 people when he left in 2006. The growth of the company was based on a comprehensive loan officer training program. The education process included understanding loan origination, loan processing, fraud prevention, underwriting, document drawing and funding the loan. Having in depth product knowledge gave our loan officers the edge when they were calling on real estate agents to work for them and their clients who wanted to purchase a home. Steven has been at RWM Home Loans since 2006 where he originates and funds residential mortgages. He has his California DRE Brokers license #01158448 and his NMLS designation #320132. Growing a mortgage broker business into a full fledge mortgage banking business gave him cross training in the complete process on the mortgage business. He created manuals for the process of hiring, training and firing employees if they did not follow proper procedures that were set in place to protect the company, the investor buying the loan and the borrower who was making the commitment to pay the loan back. Though his more than 27 years of experience he has over seen the funding of hundreds of millions of dollars of closed loans. He became an expert witness in 2002 and has worked on several cases helping clients protect themselves from people who have failed to follow proper procedure in originating, processing, underwriting and funding their loan. He is an expert on fraud prevention, fraud protection and identifying irregular documentation. Steven's skills are best used in identifying the problem and then creating a solution. He has worked with several attorneys and their clients in the capacity to put right real estate loan transactions that were done improperly. References on request.
