About Woody Geoghegan
“I have had only two careers since graduating from college: printing & mortgages. I worked in various capacities for an $80mil/year family run business for approximately 20 years. My final position was as a General Manager for their Denver non-traditional printing company. I have been in the Denver area mortgage business since 2002. I was a part Owner of Summit Financial Mortgage until 2006 and am currently a co-Branch Manager of Georgetown Mortgage. My business focuses on purchases. Whether it’s helping the first-time home buyer or assisting a growing family obtain a larger house in the Denver area, I try to make the lending process as understandable as possible. Identifying the key components and clearly communicating them to borrowers helps manage expectations and simplify our process. Obviously, with the present interest rates at near-historic lows, I’ve been able to assist existing homeowners with refinances. Whether I’ve simply lowered the rate to save money every month or lowered the length of their loan, I’ve been able to make many clients very happy. I have been married to my best friend, Karen, for 30 years. We have three kids: the youngest of whom entered college in the fall of 2013. During my free time, I like reading spy novels, running, biking, playing tennis, & swimming. We hike and camp and have fun with most outdoor activities which makes Colorado a great place to live!”
